Piggyback Invoice Mailings
If you're friendly with other
business owners, why not ask if you can include a flyer or letter with their
regular invoice mailings? You could offer to pay for the mailout as an
incentive, but remember, you don't have to. You could even ask if they will
write (or simply sign) a letter recommending your services.
This works brilliantly
when noncompeting companies with the same target market work together.
Hints and
Tips:
1.
Have
a great offer that's just for their customers.
2.
Make
a. free offer so the other business gets the credit.
3- It should sound as though this great offer
is possible only because your two companies are working together.
4. Test and measure.

Tender Lists
If you're in an industry where you
get a lot of tenders or bids for projects, you can buy or subscribe to tender
publications that let you know of every tender or project coming to the market.
Usually they're full of great work, but often they're too far behind the times
for you to get a good tender in on time.
The best list is the
industry grapevine; make sure you get in on it. By the way, when you are
submitting tenders or bids, be sure to make it a sales document rather than
just a typical tender document. This will really make you stand out.
Hints and Tips:
1. Ask for a month's trial to see
how good the list is.
